Over 1000 residents of Greenwich mobilized in support of a local ordinance to ban fracking waste from Greenwich, succeeding in September 2018.
Continued efforts to push for a statewide ban were successful the following year.
We are grateful for all the support from community allies and our grassroots network for all their hard work to protect our community from out of state toxic waste.
You can watch the recording of the RTM meeting where amendments and the bill were voted upon, and the ordinance was adopted here.
Together, we protected our community, our children, local ecosystems, property values, and water supply in Greenwich.
Together, we will continue to do so. Please join our team.
